Buderim Christmas Fair

The Patchwork Group of the Buderim Craft Cottage is gearing up to be part of another amazing fair to be held this Friday 27th from 1.30 to 6.00 p.m. and Saturday 28th Nov from 8.30a.m to 2.30p.m.


There are another 11 artisan groups belonging to Buderim Craft Cottage http://www.buderimcraftcottage.com.au/ all of which will also have a great range of unique goods for sale and browsing.


Craft Cottage will be joined by the Lions Club's 50 market stalls and the Buderim Library annual book sale on the Saturday.

Brenda Gael Smith, curator of the touring exhibition, a matter of time,  is inviting you to submit entries for this exhibition. Entries close on 15 January 2016. 

Seeking stitched textiles of 100 cm x 40 cm (H x W) exploring the title theme - a matter of time. International entries welcome. No entry fee. (Admin fee is payable if your work is selected.)

NSW: Airing of the Quilts, Canowindra

Canowindra is gearing up for its annual transformation with the 'Airing of the Quilts' on the upcoming long weekend.

Quilts will adorn the verandahs of the historic town outdoors on Saturday, October 3, from 10am to 4pm, although  there will be quilts in shop windows from the Wednesday before, Sept 30 til the Wednesday after, 7 October.

Caloundra Quilters are holding their “Festival of Quilts” (14th Biennial Quilt Show)

LIVING COLOUR EXHIBITION

A travelling textile Art Exhibition curated by Brenda Gael Smith is being held at Gosford Regional Gallery, Gosford, Australia from 18 April – 27 May 2015.


This exhibition comprises of 32 vibrant works celebrating life across the spectrum. Each work is 100 cm H X 40 cm W. A 36 page catalogue is available for purchase.

Lang Lang Quilt & Craft Show, Victoria

Its that time of the year again for the annual  Lang Lang Quilt & Craft Show. It is being held on Sat 2nd and Sun  3rd May at the Lang Lang Memorial Hall, McDonalds Track, Lang Lang, Victoria.
There will be a fabulous display of up to 100 beautiful quilts. Also many patchwork and craft stalls, Homemade cakes and plants.
There is also light refreshments available. You might be able to pick up a nice Mothers Day Present.

Expressions: The Wool Quilt Prize

Expressions: The Wool Quilt Prize, is a biennial acquisitive award of A$3,000, designed to encourage excellence and promote the use of wool in contemporary art-quilt making.

 

The next prize exhibition will be held at the National Wool Museum, Geelong from 25 October – 13 December 2015 as part of the OzQuilt Network’s biennial conference (19-26 October), which also marks the organisation's 25th birthday.
